Nimmica Esencia is our signature single-origin specialty coffee from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia.
Smooth and balanced, with notes of chocolate, walnut, and dried fruit.
Grown at 1,900 metres by Vivian’s family in partnership with the cooperative — in the heart of Colombia’s Jaguar Corridor.
A UNESCO-protected biosphere reserve, where the jaguar still roams free.
Harvested once per year and roasted in small batches in Belgium by a fourth-generation roaster.

Born in the wild. Long before the harvest.
More than fifty years ago, Vivian's uncle Nestor started this coffee farm deep in the jungle of the Sierra Nevada. Today, her cousin Jorge carries the work forward. When we reached the farm, it was outside the harvest season: the coffee cherries were still green, young plants were taking root and the mountain was already shaping what would become Esencia. No industrial estate. No shortcuts. Just family, jungle and coffee shaped by the mountain.
Between harvests
The harvest begins long before the cherry turns red.
No staged harvest pictures. This is the farm as we found it: green cherries on the branch, new coffee plants on the mountain and the daily work that continues when nobody is watching. That is where Esencia's flavour begins.
