This weekend, Nimmica stood at a market for the very first time — and it couldn't have been anywhere else than Berlaar, our home town.
No big stand, no theatre. One small table, our trusty Jura automatic, and free coffee for everyone who wanted a taste. That was the whole plan.
What we poured
Esencia, our signature coffee from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Chocolate warmth, walnut, dried fruit — the coffee that started everything, finally meeting our neighbours cup by cup.
And with the warm weather we were handing out Fuerza, our nitro cold brew, ice-cold from the cooler. No sugar, no additives — just naturally fermented specialty coffee. We watched more than one skeptic take a sip and go quiet for a second. That second is why we do this.
What we learned
People don't just want good coffee. They want to know where it comes from, who picked it, and why it tastes the way it does. Every conversation at that table ended up on the same mountain in Colombia — where Vivian's family has been climbing the same jungle paths for generations, one harvest per year.
The Nimmica Summer Kick-off
To everyone who stopped for a cup, asked a question or simply said something kind: thank you. Berlaar made our first market feel like a beginning. So we're celebrating the summer properly:
- Free cold brew with every shipment — add any coffee to your cart and a can of Fuerza joins it automatically.
- Every Fuerza order is doubled — order one can, get two. Order six, get twelve.
- Summer price: Fuerza is now €2,25 per can while the summer batch lasts.
Until the next market. One mountain. One harvest. One standard.
